Easy Bourbon Recipe: Whiskey Highball


  • 2 ounces whiskey

  • 4 ounces club soda, chilled

  • Lemon wedge garnish

  • Ice


  • Add the whiskey into a highball glass with ice.

  • Top with club soda and stir gently and briefly to combine.

Intermediate Bourbon Recipe: Old Fashioned


  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar

  • 3 dashes bitters

  • 1 teaspoon water

  • 2 ounces bourbon

  • Orange peel garnish


  • Add the sugar and bitters to a rocks glass, then add the water, and stir until the sugar is nearly dissolved.

  • Fill the glass with large ice cubes, add the bourbon, and gently stir to combine.

  • Express the oil of an orange peel over the glass, then drop in.

Easy Gin Recipe: Gin and Tonic


  • 2 ounces gin

  • 4 ounces tonic water

  • Garnish: 2 lime wheels or other seasonal garnishes you may prefer


  • Fill a highball glass with ice, then add the gin.

  • Top with the tonic water and gently stir.

  • Garnish with lime wheels or seasonal garnishes.

Intermediate Gin Recipe: Gin Gin Mule


  • 1 mint sprig

  • 1 ounce simple syrup

  • 3/4 ounce lime juice, freshly squeezed

  • 1 3/4 ounces Tanqueray London dry gin

  • 1 ounce Audrey Saunders’ ginger beer

  • Garnish: mint sprig


  • In a shaker, muddle the mint sprig, simple syrup and lime juice.

  • Add the gin, ginger beer and ice, and shake until well-chilled.

  • Strain into a highball glass over fresh ice.

  • Garnish with a mint sprig.



Vodka cocktail ingredients are a great way to give a lighter spirit to lift his spirits!

Easy Vodka Recipe: Vodka and Water


  • 1 1/2 oz Tito's Handmade Vodka

  • 4-8 oz water, to taste

  • 1 lemon slice


  • Just add Tito's Handmade Vodka and water to a glass with ice.

  • Garnish with a lemon slice.

Intermediate Vodka Recipe: Vodka Martini


  • 2 1/2 ounces vodka

  • 1/2 ounce dry vermouth

  • 1 dash orange bitters

  • Garnish: lemon twist


  • Fill a highball glass with ice, then add the gin.

  • Top with the tonic water and gently stir.

  • Garnish with lime wheels or seasonal garnishes.



Even if your dad can get a little salty sometimes, a little tequila and lime can always make him feel much better!

Easy Tequila Recipe: Ranch Water


  • 2 Ounces Tequila

  • 1/2 Lime Juice Only

  • 4 Ounces Topo Chico

  • Lime Wedges


  • Salt the rim of a Collins or Highball glass

  • Fill with ice

  • Add tequila and lime juice, top off with Topo Chico

  • Serve with slices of lime and the remaining bottle of Topo Chico

Intermediate Tequila Recipe: Cadillac Margarita


  • 1 3/4 cup reposado tequila or any clear tequila

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (don’t use the bottled stuff)

  • 3/4 cup Grand Marnier liqueur

  • Light agave syrup, optional to taste

  • Kosher salt

  • Lime wedges


  • In a large pitcher 1/2 full with ice.

  • Pour the tequila, lime juice, and Grand Marnier over the ice. Stir well to combine.

  • Taste for sweetness. Add a bit of light agave syrup if desired. Stir well.

  • For the glasses, pour about 1/4 cup of kosher salt onto a small plate.

  • Using a lime wedge, wet the rim of each glass and dip each glass into the kosher salt.

  • Carefully add ice cubes to each glass as to not knock off the salt rim.

  • Strain the margarita mixture into each glass.

  • Garnish with a slice of lime.
