How to Give Money as a Wedding Gift

There's no denying that everyone wants money as a wedding gift, even if they don't say it outright. With the average age of marriage trending older, couples are getting married with several items that are traditionally on gift registries. They already have a vacuum, they have dishes and they might not need those standard gifts. Here are some ideas on how to creatively gift cash!

Champagne Bottle Filled With Cash

For this gift you'll need a wine or champagne bottle. You can buy an empty bottle here, or you can buy a full bottle at the store and consume the liquid inside, so this is a gift for you and the happy couple! After emptying the contents, wash the bottle and let it dry, add the cash and replace the cork. If you want to go the extra mile, add in a custom label with a note to the recipient. I also love adding a champagne sword with any champagne gift, and they're going to need it to get to that cash!

Money Book with Money Bookmarks

Managing money as a couple can be challenging, but you don't want a squabble over spending to impact the couple. Adding a few bills to the pages of an educational book on couples' finances might not be the sexiest wedding gift but it will definitely be the most helpful! Try this book or this one for some financial tutelage.

Adult Piggy Bank

Piggy banks are just for kids anymore! Everyone needs to save for their own goals but it's a sweet gift to help them start to save as a couple. Maybe there is a big vacation they are saving for or a new family car, putting their pocket change in a piggy bank is a great visceral way for them to make incremental steps towards their goal. Here is a beautiful piggy bank and here is another option.

Most couples wouldn't mind a little extra cash after spending so much on their big day! I hope one of these ideas helps you show the happy couple a little love.

Very Happy Gifting!

For certain gifting occasions and certain age groups, cash is king. This is true for graduates who are moving on to the next step in school or the next chapter in their lives. Even though money might be the gift they want (and need) you want to spruce it up a little, it is after all a gift!

Gifts for Travelers

...Whether it's a gift for yourself, to celebrate someone in your life or for the hostess of a big bash, these gifts are sure to pop and sparkle! First things, first... the champagne! If you're looking for a bottle that is sure to impress, Dom Perignon is a gift that can't go wrong! Moet and Veuve Clicquot also make impressive gifts!...
